2-day Cast Party Workshop Create your own molds for open-face kiln casting and fire it. Create a fused panel with kiln fabric imprints. Demonstrations on torch work and copper carbonate.
About the Artist: Karl creates intricate patterned artworks in glass, employing a range of techniques - fused glass panels, borosilicate torch work, glass enamel painting, and construction with copper elements. His work is focused on energetic patterns and reference to systems of independence with multi-layered effects.
Karl resides on Maui. His glass artworks are represented in collections across the US. He received a BFA in Glass and Design from Tyler School of Art, Temple University and has continued study at Pilchuck School among others. His work was selected twice for Corning Museum's New Glass Review. He was the 1st Managing Director of the Creative Glass Center of America (now WheatonbArts).
